From my journal – On the beach

It’s warm and wonderful here in sunny Florida. Great weather for getting outside and doing some watercolors of found leaves and things.

Where does the time go?

Can you believe it’s almost July? And it’s been 3 weeks since I posted. I do have excuses! We’ve been camping and that is so rejuvenating, being outside, on the water, in a kayak, swimming…summer stuff. And I’ve been journaling, but mostly writing, so no great visuals right now. I discovered a new place – Heartwood Retreat Center. Beautiful gardens and paths through the abundant flowers, placees to sit outside and write. I attended an enlightening journal workshop there with Ginny East. AND I’ve been writing letters and reading…

From my Journal  – The Way In

Sometimes life throws unexpected curves, and around the holidays this can really throw me off balance. So… I turn to my journal because sometimes the only way out is the way inward with my journal in hand, in solitude. With my painted and written thoughts, I can find the solace and sustenance I need to heal my wounds, process my confusion and be able to move on. I find healing and learn what I didn’t even know I needed to learn.

How do you deal with those unexpected curves around the holidays?

I would love to hear from you…
